Legal status of the airport
Točná Airport is a part of the public transport infrastructure of the Czech Republic and the integrated rescue system. It falls within the competence of the Civil Aviation Authority and under the state supervision of the Ministry of Transport. Točná Airport is a recognized public benefit building in the capital city of Prague. Protection zones have been declared around the airport to prevent the existence of high-rise buildings in its immediate vicinity, but they do not restrict normal construction. The airport is fully financed from private sources and does not draw any subsidies from the EU or the state or municipalities. The airport is one of the few airports in the Czech Republic whose existence is not threatened by unresolved property relations. The airport operator has contractually committed to the City of Prague 12 that there will be no increase in the number of take-offs and landings at the airport.
Reduce noise at the airport
We do everything we can to ensure that our airport does not disturb the inhabitants of the surrounding villages.
Here is a list of the measures we have taken:
We turned the runway of the airport slightly so that the planes could better avoid the village of Cholupice.
The airport is not home to any flight school that conducts training on motorized aircraft.
We changed the status of the airport so that we have full control over who can arrive at the airport.
